6.3

Use this process whenever you receive a report or observe a possible violation.

Step 1 — Make the situation safe

If there is an immediate risk to players, the server, or private information, take the minimum authorized action needed to contain it. Escalate urgent real-life threats, doxxing, account compromise, and major exploits immediately.

Step 2 — Identify the rule

Find the exact rule that may have been broken. If you cannot identify a relevant rule, ask a senior staff member before taking punitive action, unless urgent containment is necessary.

Step 3 — Collect and check evidence

Review the original report and available context. Verify timestamps, player identities, relevant logs, and the complete conversation or footage. Distinguish what you directly observed from what someone else claims.

Step 4 — Check context and history

Review relevant prior warnings or punishments, but do not assume that a previous accusation proves a new one. Consider whether there is missing context, a technical issue, lag, or a misunderstanding.

Step 5 — Choose a proportionate action

Use the punishment matrix and your role's authorization. Do not invent punishments, exceed your permissions, or issue a harsher penalty because you are annoyed.

Step 6 — Explain the decision

Use a concise, neutral reason. Identify the rule and behavior, not insults or assumptions about the player's character. Avoid publicly exposing private evidence.

Step 7 — Log the action

Record the player, action, duration if applicable, rule, evidence location, date/time, and staff member responsible in the approved log.

Step 8 — Escalate or hand over

Ask a senior staff member to review uncertain, serious, disputed, or conflict-of-interest cases. Provide a factual summary and evidence rather than a personal rant.
